SADDLE FITTING
SADDLE Fitting
All great things are built on the correct foundation, all your contact points with the bike are important, like your shoes and handlebars, your saddle comfort is an important part of your fit. It can make or break an incredible ride.
If you are suffering with any of the following, you should consider booking in for a saddle-fit
Saddle sores
Genital pressure
Genital numbness
Perineal pain
Numbness in the glutes
Soft tissue discomfort/bruising
Tenderness and abrasions
Deep tissue pain around the sit bones (ischial tuberosity)
Shifting in the saddle in search of a more comfortable position
During a saddle-fit appointment with us, a measurement of your sit bones will be taken, after a chat about the problems you are incurring we will then identify the brand and models which could work best for you.
The bike-fitting jig we use enables us to try different saddles swiftly, we can even compare the new saddles with the existing saddle that you arrived with. We use Saddle-Pressure Mapping to show you where you are making direct or too much pressure with the saddle.
The brands and respective models we carry have been carefully chosen to accommodate different bottoms.
All great things are built on the correct foundation, let us help you make sure that yours is. The type of shorts that you are wearing and how you are wearing them can also contribute to your saddle comfort. We are proud to be able to offer a short fit, in association with Assos. There are certain tests we can do, to ensure Assos shorts fit you correctly. The application of chamois cream can also have an effect on your saddle area.
Our saddle fit service is built into our bike fitting, if you have a bike fit booked then there is no requirement to book any further appointments.
Saddle fitting can also be booked separately to a Bike-Fit.
